Persian language and literature professors from India visit SBU

On Sunday, July 2, 2022, a group of Persian language and literature professors from Indian universities, in coordination with Sa’adi Foundation, attended joint meetings with the faculty members of the Department of Persian Language and Literature of SBU and visited various places of the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences and the Central Library, Documents Center and Museum of SBU.

The Indian delegation consisted of Dr. Fauzia Wahid from Aligarh Muslim University, Dr. Malik Salim Javed, assistant professor of Zakir Husain Delhi College, Dr. Mohammad Qaisar, assistant professor of the Persian department of Aligarh Muslim University, Dr. Zunnoorain Haider Alavi, head of the Persian department of University of Lucknow, Dr. Masoom Reza, assistant professor of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University, Dr. Tasneem Kausar Chishti, associate professor of the Persian department of Karamat Husain Muslim Girls P.G. College and Dr. Halim Akhtar Abu Muhammad, head of the Persian department of Bhagalpour University. The delegation had two meetings with Dr. Ahmad Khatami, dean of the Faculty of Letters and human Sciences, and a group of faculty members of the department of Persian language and literature of the university. During these meetings, the Indian delegation got familiar with SBU and the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, and the two sides discussed the common needs of Iran and India in the field of Persian language and literature.
